FAQs

  • Do you have EHUs for tents?

No, but there are secure phone charging cabinets, an outside socket to blow up your airbed, inside sockets for hairdryers etc., a fridge and an ice block freezer. All available 24/7 free of charge.

  • Can I pay by card?

We have no card machine!

You will need cash for firewood, grill deposits, and our walking booklet.

 

  • Can I bring my pet camping?

Up to 3 pets on leads are welcome to come camping, free of charge. No dogs on the dangerous dog register please.

  • Can I bring my pet glamping?

Pets are not allowed in our Yurt or Bell Tent, sorry pets.

​

  • Can I play my music if I keep it quiet?

We strictly don't allow any recorded music or radios (even in the daytime) - but you're welcome to bring your guitar!

  • Can I have a campfire?

Certainly! All pitches and glamping units have a fire pit provided free of charge.

  • Can I buy fire wood?

We always have fire wood for sale, supplied with free kindling. £10 for a big net of logs. Please remember to bring cash as we don't have a card machine.

  • Can I bring my own fire pit and fire wood?

For safety reasons you can't bring your own fire pit or any timber offcuts to burn. Our fire pits are free of charge and we appreciate you buying our good value, locally sourced, sustainably harvested logs.

  • Can I cook on my fire?

Yes. If you'd like to borrow one of our grills there is a refundable deposit of £5 (cash only please).

  • Can I bring a toilet tent?

Sorry, no. There is nowhere to empty a toilet.

​

  • Do you have a chemical disposal point for campervans?

Sorry, no.

​

  • Can I fill my campervan water tank?

Please ask as soon as you arrive as access is from the roadside, not on the pitch. You'll need your own hose pipe.

  • Can I do my laundry on site?

Yes, there are 2 laundry sinks in the laundry area.

​

  • Can I wash my bicycle?

Yes, please ask for the hose.

​

  • My gazebo/camping chair/tent/air bed is broken. Can I leave it here?

No, no, no! Please don't! We may be able to help you mend stuff but we have no means to dispose of your broken gear, old shoes, wet clothes, etc. Please take it home or to the recycling and waste centre in Kirkby Stephen.
