Green Bell Tent, named after the nearby hill, gets the sun all day long. The handy side vents will keep you cool in hot weather. In the Bell Tent Garden is a campfire for chilly evenings and BBQs - plus the sheer pleasure of sitting round a fire under a dark night sky. Good dry firewood is always available.

NEW! For 2024 the Bell Tent has its own fully equipped kitchen, just like the Yurt. It's so new we don't yet have any pics to show you but you can expect our usual thoughtful design and attention to detail so it'll be a pleasure to use!

If you don't feel like cooking, take a 10-15 minute stroll to one of our two geat village pubs, the Kings Head or the Black Swan, both serving excellent food and real ales and both with riverside gardens.

Tucked into the little wood behind Green Bell Tent is a sophisticated composting toilet, designed and hand-built with an attention to detail and gorgeous views that make it a place worth spending some time in!
It's like a state of the art bird hide!- look out for red squirrels, hedgehogs, hare, and other wildlife.

With the garden surrounding, the woodland behind, and the meadow in front, there's plenty of space to stretch out and relax, play games, or rock gently in the hammock watching the sheep and the sky as the light changes on the fells and fields around you.
